San José, West Valley Branch, CA

West Valley Branch Library is one of the many San José Public Libraries that has transitioned from large, stationary circulation desk to smaller, more functional service points.  With the help of Demco designer, Stephen Gower, West Valley was able to customize their desks to fit the specific needs of their space, patrons, and staff.  The TechnoLink Desk System designed for West Valley Library incorporates both fixed height as well as a height adjustable work surfaces that range from 25″ to 42″H and can be easily raised or lowered to accommodate the changing staff needs throughout the day.  The desks feature a custom kidney bean shape and are centrally located to serve the most populated area of the library.  Work surface and desk finishes coordinate perfectly with the existing end panels and other furnishings to provide the same aesthetic as the rest of the library.
