Pearl Avenue Branch Library is one of the many San José Public Libraries that has transitioned from large, stationary circulation desk to smaller, more functional service points.  With the help of Demco designer, Stephen Gower, Joyce Ellington was able to customize the desks to fit the specific needs of their space, patrons, and staff.  The TechnoLink Desk System designed for Pearl Avenue Library incorporates both stationary height desks as well as a height adjustable work surface that ranges from 25″ to 42″H and can be easily raised or lowered to accommodate the changing staff needs throughout the day.  Tailoring to their needs, Pearl Avenue opted for a mix of straight and curved desks with various shelves and drawers which were all finished to match the existing library furnishings.  The end result is a solution that has elevated the service level of the Pearl Avenue Branch Library making it a much easier, more user friendly space for both staff and patrons alike.
